I am selling my xxxx Honda VFR 400 NC30 with clean and clear PA title in hand and in my name. VIN number on title matches frame. Frame VIN number matches engine number and carbs are correct numbers for this motorcycle as well. I have receipts for everything. No corners cut. Everything has been replaced with brand new straight from Honda in Japan parts. Every piece of rubber or any part that would wear or need to be replaced during a tear down has been replaced. Motorcycle spent last 3 years in a bedroom in my house during the rebuild. Bike was in really good shape when I bought it but it was my dream to have a mint NC30 so here we are. Motorcycle was brought to bare frame for rebuild. I have a ton of spare parts and a lot of parts left over from the rebuild that were in good shape I just replaced them anyway. Some can be sold some tossed out but I kept everything. I was going for a museum show piece and was hoping to display in a local museum. Everything from swing arm bearings to handle bar grips are original and brand new. Every nut and bolt has been torqued to the correct NM and all my manuals and spare parts are included. I finished the rebuild a few weeks ago as a new addition to our family is on the way. Have been debating for the last couple of weeks what to do and that's' what has led me to selling. All fluids are new as well and no leaks of any kind. Most parts have been powder coated and as I said I tried my best to stick to the original scheme. This bike is originally a type 7 bike. Valve covers have been opened and valves checked before putting motor back in frame. Valve covers with new gaskets and torqued to correct NM. Have documentation for valves and anything else which I couldn't perform on my own. I have a friend with 30+ years as a motorcycle/car tech that helped out where needed. As stated above all rubber, bearings, seals, gaskets, filters, fluids, serviceable parts have all been replaced with brand new straight from Honda in japan. Some parts were cross referenced with American part numbers and purchased here if same parts were located. Everything down to the tool kit is brand new and exactly as per day this bike was purchased brand new.
I will list below the major components I replaced or rebuild but this is not a complete list.
Every nut and bolt was removed from frame and gone
over, have tons of pictures to back up
story. Everything was packaged, with labels
and pictures during tear down
Forks, rebuilt with new seals, dust seals,
copper seals, oil and o rings, lower
legs were powder coated as well
front wheel, powder coated orange with new,
seals and bearings and tire
front rotors are in good shape with minimal wear
inners were also powder coated
front brake calipers, rebuilt with new seals
and dust seals, new pads and everything
was cleaned before reassembly, also powder
coated as well
front brake lines are new black ss brake lines
choose black to look like original lines
front brake master cylinder was rebuilt with
new internals and all new rubber
rear wheel, powder coated orange with new tire
rear shock, sent out and rebuilt by company in
Arizona with all new parts and new powder coated
spring
sub frame was powder coated and no clips or anything
are broken off
swing arm, cleaned and all new seals gaskets
and bearings in rear hub were replaced
sprockets were replaced with original teeth from
Honda with new 525 rivet chain
heal guards powder coated to look original brushed
new pegs from Honda
motor had valves checked and have documentation
for each valve exhaust and intake all looked
good and were within minimal wear specs
new valve cover gaskets
exhaust is stock but spent 10+ hours on grinder
and looks brand new, new crush gaskets
carbs I have 4 brand new rebuild kits but was
afraid to open them up because bike was
running great and I have had bad luck in
the past getting carbs dialed in perfect
rebuild kits included
new air filter plus small breather filter
petcock rebuilt
gas tank cleaned inside
rear brake caliper rebuilt with new seals and powder coated
rear brake line is black ss to look like original
rear master cylinder rebuilt
electronics and harness gone through to look for
any bad wires, none found
frame cleaned and is in excellent condition
all parts cleaned some hot tanked before re assembly
clip ons and bar ends powder coated
mirror stay powder coated
upper and lower triple powder coated with new
bearings and seals
kick stand and brackets powder coated
new stickers or decals all around or what I could
get access to some were no longer available
so I made sure I kept the originals if I could
brand new tool kit with all tools straight from
Honda with honda bag, strap, everything
newer seats in great shape plus another set in pretty
good shape as well
spare Honda keys straight from Honda not cut yet plus
original key which matches everything
one aftermarket part is a battery charger is hard
wired onto bike. Battery tender jr I think is the brand.
pop rear seat and plug in one wire and then plug ac
adaptor into outlet and your good to go
kept all my old parts so anything that was
even something like a o ring or bearing
I kept the old one and it's all included
Many of these spares could be sold as the
Most were in great shape
motorcycle has 3 sets of body work. two are
the original body work which just needs painted and
a little fiberglass work. the other is a eBay body work
which looks perfect and fits just as good. all 3 are included.
Body work is all attached with original brackets with all
Brand new from Honda hardware which is nice and shiny
with correct clips and whatever was orginal
also included is a brand new set of decals for
the original body work. I was going to paint the body
work but I never got that done, and then replace
all of the decals with brand new ones. these were
sourced from japan and match the originals.
5 brand new tires total. 2 of which are on the
wheels now and the other 3 are 2 more brand new
rears and one more brand new front tire.
front and rear pitt-bull stands are included
rear stand allows for rear wheel to spin and
front stand can be setup to go under bottom triple
or on front axle
again lots of extra body parts and left overs
from the rebuild all included. everything I have
nc30 goes manuals, books, spare parts, everything.
These motorcycles do not show up much in the states and one with a title matching the frame is very rare. Always rode fzr 400s and always said if I ever came across one of these with a title I'd get it. Well my loss is your gain. All the work is completed minus when I put the chain on I was in a rush and riveted it on with one two many links. I do not have my own rivet tool so I cannot fix it. I did however buy a second rivet link so all you have to do is grind off old one and one extra link and install new one. Also both front rear suspension needs dialed in. Was going to do so on first ride but have never rode it since rebuild.
